What does Bourbon Do?
For months, Bourbon Beefcake took on every role imaginable—administrating, coding, advertising, managing customer support, troubleshooting, and overseeing Discord management. He did everything required to grow the World of Amelia from the ground up, building a thriving community almost single-handedly. As the community has expanded and passionate players have stepped in to help, Bourbon's focus has shifted to coordinating all the departments and guiding the community towards the vision that started it all: “Providing the best and friendliest player experience.”
While Bourbon now focuses on big-picture coordination, he's still deeply involved in day-to-day operations. He keeps an eye on customer support, performance improvements, advertising, and new initiatives to make sure the World of Amelia is always moving forward. His dedication and passion are at the heart of everything we do, ensuring that every player feels valued and every adventure is unforgettable.
Bourbon's Biography
BourbonBeefcake, known simply as "Bourbon," is the founder of World of Amelia. With a background in Software and Data Engineering, Bourbon turned a longtime hobby into a professional career. His passion for gaming and storytelling began at a young age when he wondered, "How can I create my own games?" This curiosity led him down the path of programming, blending his love for technology and creativity.
Before starting World of Amelia, Bourbon spent many years as a GameMaster for tabletop RPGs like Dungeons & Dragons and Vampire: The Masquerade. He thrived on creating immersive experiences, but eventually sought something even more interactive. After watching countless YouTube videos of game servers and noticing common frustrations among players, Bourbon decided to take action. On July 18th, 2022, "Amelia" was born—a gaming community built to address those challenges and deliver a better experience.
Bourbon, whose real name is Antony, was born and raised in Greece. Over the years, he's lived across Europe before settling in the United States with his wife and daughter. A natural entrepreneur since childhood, Antony has always been driven to solve problems and create value. Today, Amelia is his keystone project and the primary focus of his efforts.
